Hemi the Flying Poodle
Royale Hemisphere Dancer:
Hemi was named because her owner loves to fly, loves Jimmy Buffett music, and loves to train dogs.
All of Paula's Precious, Precocious, Pampered, Popular, Poodles have a musical theam to their names.
Her mother’s name is Dancer so it just seemed natural that she should be named Hemisphere Dancer.
I sincerly hope Jimmy doesn't mind. She is named after one of Jimmy’s more famous airplanes.
All dogs devlop their own personality and Hemi is no different. One of the traits we didn't expect is that she is an explorer. With a small puppy you watch them. Especially in the environment we live in, Wolves, Coyotes, Hawks, Owls, and even Eagles. Not to mention the rattle snakes, scorpions, and poisones toads. So we have to make sure they don't wander off, and most puppies stick close to you, not Hemi. She lives up to the exploring nature of her name sake. Many is the night I will take her out
for potty and she just wanders off into the wilds of our back yard in search of... Nothing in particular, just in search. Hemi showed up and decided she was NOT a puppy. She is positive that she deserved to be treated like a big dog.
She and her brother, Bubba, are such a hoot to watch play. They have this game that is hard to capture in a picture but so much fun to watch. We have a long patio, about 75 feet long and 12 feet wide. We have separated it from the majority of the back yard with a collection of wire ex-pens. She will run along the outside if this enclosure the lenth of the patio, while Bubba runs inside the enclosure. Back and forth with her big 60 pound brother safely within the patio runs with her. Each barking and running full tilt. While the little puppy, Hemi, runs over hill & dale & rocks with wild abandon.
Here she is deciding I should take her home
